Bio
As a resident of the Parkdale/Roncesvalle
community for over 15 years, Barbara is pleased to be joining ALLONE holistic
clinic and providing services to residents of the community.
Barbara Weiss is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic
Medicine. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic
Medicine’s four-year post-graduate program in
Naturopathic Medicine. She is also a Certified Bowen Therapist and
certified in First Line Therapy® - a therapeutic lifestyle change program
to manage, prevent or reverse chronic disease. Upon graduation Barbara was
awarded the President's Award for "professional courage and vision for
the profession", the Botanical Medicine Award and the Naturopathic Honour Award.
Barbara practices family medicine with a special
interest in digestive disorders (IBS, Crohns,
Colitis, food allergies/sensitivities), weight loss, stress related disorders,
environmental medicine and autoimmune conditions. She has completed
additional training in Bowen Therapy, Homeopathy, Botanical Medicine,
Facial Rejuvenation Therapy and Mindfulness Based Meditation.
Barbara teaches Botanical Medicine, Integrated
Modalities, Environmental Medicine and Practice Management at the Ontario
College of Homeopathic Medicine, is a regular speaker at the Canadian Liver
Foundation – *Living with Liver Disease Support Group *meetings, and is on
the Board of Governors for the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Barbara holds her Naturopathic Medical license in Ontario and is a
member of the *Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and The* *Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors
(CAND).
